Therapy, but modern.

Most people don’t come to therapy polished—they come overwhelmed, guarded, or burned out on the process.

That’s normal.

My work is grounded, secular, and relational. No worksheets pretending to be insight. No pressure to perform healing the “right” way. We slow things down and figure out what actually helps you.

Core Values

01

Human-First

I treat you as a person, not a problem.
02

No Judgement

No shame. No guilt-tripping.
03

Secular and Inclusive

No assumptions. No spiritual agenda.
04

Context-Aware

Context matters. Always.
05

Come As You Are

You don’t have to edit yourself.
06

Whole-Person Care

Not a diagnosis. Not a checklist.

Therapy with Good Human

What it Is & What It Isn't

With Us...

Personalized, collaborative support
  • Real conversations — sometimes messy, sometimes funny, sometimes full of long pauses while we untangle something real. Always honest, always human.
  • A space where you don’t have to perform — you don’t have to be the “strong one,” the “put-together one,” or the “fine, I’m fine” version of yourself. Show up how you actually are.
  • Direct feedback when you need it — I won’t sugarcoat, but I won’t steamroll you either. You’ll get straight talk with actual warmth behind it.
  • Compassion that doesn’t turn into coddling — I’ll validate your experience and help you challenge the patterns keeping you stuck.
  • A mix of processing and strategy — we’ll dig into the “why” and build the “what now,” so you’re not just venting—you’re growing.
  • A place where everything human is welcome — swearing, crying, laughing, frustration, silence, awkwardness, confusion, all of it. You don’t need to package your emotions to make them presentable.
  • Collaborative — I bring knowledge, you bring your lived experience. We build the roadmap together.
  • A place for depth — we’ll look at beliefs, patterns, defenses, the nervous system, the real roots—not just symptoms.

Others...

Well-meaning but limited support
  • Endless nodding and “mhmm” with no direction — I’m not a wall with a pulse. You’ll actually hear my thoughts, questions, and insights.
  • A place where you’re coddled or placated — I’m supportive, not patronizing. I won’t talk to you like you’re fragile glass or pretend every choice you’ve made was healthy.
  • Toxic positivity — no “good vibes only,” no “just manifest it,” no pretending your trauma can be solved by gratitude journaling alone.
  • A quick fix — if someone promises a 3-step life overhaul, they’re selling you something. Real change takes time, curiosity, and honesty.
  • A one-size-fits-all approach — I don’t assume everyone needs CBT, or mindfulness, or worksheets, or whatever is trendy on Instagram this week. Your therapy is tailored to you, not to a protocol.
  • Rigid or judgmental — you won’t be shamed for your coping mechanisms, your mistakes, or the ways you’ve survived.
  • A performance — you don’t have to be the “good client.” You can be messy, resistant, confused, skeptical, or blunt. We work with what’s real.
  • Pop-psychology cosplay — you’re not getting reheated TikTok advice disguised as therapy. You’re getting depth, nuance, and evidence-based care with actual humanity behind it.

Remote Sessions

I'm a big believer in the value of in-person work, but I can absolutely provide telehealth sessions when that’s the better fit for your schedule or needs.

I prioritize in-person sessions because they often allow for deeper connection, stronger rapport, and a more connective therapy experience. While telehealth is ALWAYS an option, we encourage clients to meet with us in the office whenever possible--BUT AGAIN, NOT REQUIRED!

Services are provided only to clients located in states where the clinician is licensed.
Our space is inclusive, affirming, and open to all, so if telehealth is needed to accommodate ...no problem! 🏳️‍🌈

Frequency Asked Questions

Beginning your therapy journey can leave you with a lot of questions swirling around in your brain. Below are some of the most common ones.

More can be found on our What You're Wondering page.

A real conversation—not an interrogation. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, and any concerns or questions you have. I’ll ask about your history, patterns, and current stressors, but at a pace that feels comfortable. No pressure to spill everything at once.

We believe clients thrive when they can connect with us face-to-face in our offices, and we encourage in-person sessions whenever possible—there’s something grounding about being in the same room.
Telehealth appointments are absolutely available when needed.

Everyone is welcome. 🏳️‍🌈

Yes. I am in-network with:

  • Aetna
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)
  • Cigna

I also offer a sliding scale for out-of-pocket clients based on financial need.

If you have a different insurance plan, I’m able to provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

No surprises, no confusion. Benefits will be verified during intake.

Totally understandable—and more common than people admit. My style is direct, collaborative, and human. No judgment, no coddling, no nonstop “mhmm-ing.” You’re not expected to perform or be the “perfect client.” I work at your pace with honesty and transparency.

Friends care about you, but they’re not trained to hold your story without projecting their own into it. They might give advice based on their experiences, try to fix things quickly, or unintentionally minimize something because they don’t know what to do with the discomfort.

With me, you get something different:

  • No bias, no personal history, no need to “keep the peace.”
  • Clinical insight into the patterns you’ve been living with for years.
  • Honest feedback delivered with compassion, not judgment.
  • Space where you don’t have to protect or reassure me.
  • A relationship built entirely around your healing—not reciprocity.
  • Support that helps you understand the why beneath your patterns, not just the surface-level story.

Talking to a friend can offer temporary relief.

Talking to a therapist helps you create lasting change.

This is a place for real people.
If that’s what you’re looking for, you’re in the right spot.
If you know what you should do but feel paralyzed, detached, or stuck in procrastination loops, we’ll explore the underlying fears and self-protection strategies that keep you stuck—and learn new ways of moving forward.
For ADHD, autism, or simply feeling “different,” we’ll look at how your brain works—not what’s “wrong” with it—and create strategies that match your wiring. The goal is a life that fits you, not the other way around.
If your emotions feel too big, too fast, or too confusing, we’ll explore what triggers the intensity and build a framework to understand what your brain and body are actually trying to communicate. This is about regulation, not suppression.
If you’re stuck in cycles—conflict, shutting down, caretaking, choosing emotionally unavailable partners—we’ll unpack the patterns underneath and build healthier ways of relating that feel grounding instead of chaotic.
Whether you’ve experienced a single event or long-term, chronic stress, we’ll work to understand how trauma has shaped your nervous system, your beliefs, and your relationships. Healing isn’t about “getting over it”—it’s about reclaiming safety, identity, and connection at your own pace.
Address the complex relationship between mental health and substance use with integrated, comprehensive support.
Reclaim balance from work demands, caregiving, or life's pressures with practical strategies for sustainable well-being.
Discover who you truly are beyond others' expectations, build authentic confidence, and learn to value yourself deeply.
Navigate career changes, relationship shifts, or any major life transition with clarity, support, and renewed purpose.
Navigate your relationship with substances with compassionate, evidence-based support for lasting change and recovery.
Whether it's persistent worry or deep sadness, we'll work together to find your balance and rediscover meaning in daily life.
